Par Card — Privacy Policy
Last Updated: September 5, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Par Card ("we," "us," or "our"), developed by Adelyons Software LLC, handles information when you use the Par Card mobile application and its Apple Watch companion (the "App"). By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
1. Information We Collect
Stored locally on your device:
- Round data: Course names, dates, hole configurations, stroke scores, and player names you enter. Stored on-device using Hive, a local database. Not uploaded unless a feature you invoke requires it.
- App settings: Theme preference, saved player name, units, and feature toggles.
Account (optional — only if you sign in):
- Authentication: If you choose to sign in with Apple, Google, or email, your email address and an account identifier are handled by Supabase to authenticate you.
- Profile: A display name and home course you optionally provide are stored in our database and associated with your account.
Location (Pro GPS features):
- While the GPS rangefinder or Apple Watch distances are active, the App uses your device location to calculate distances to the green. These calculations happen on your device; we do not store your location on our servers.
AI Coach, Swing Analysis & Scorecard Scanning (requires sign-in):
- When you use the AI coach, the App sends your chat messages, any photos you attach, and an aggregated summary of your rounds (averages and percentages — never raw round data, and no personal identifiers beyond a display name) to our server, which forwards them to Google Gemini to generate feedback. Chat history is stored on your device, not on our servers.
- When you use swing analysis, the swing video you select is sent through our server to Google Gemini for analysis. We do not store the video; we retain a content fingerprint of it together with the resulting scores so that re-analyzing the same video returns the same result instantly.
- When you scan a paper scorecard, the photos you take are sent through our server to Google Gemini to read the names and scores. The photos are not retained after the response is generated; the resulting round is stored on your device like any other round.
Purchases & subscriptions:
- Par Card Pro is processed by Apple/Google and RevenueCat. RevenueCat receives your account identifier, purchase receipt, and device metadata to validate your entitlement. We mirror your subscription status (not payment details) so the App can unlock Pro features.
Analytics & diagnostics:
- Firebase Analytics collects app-usage and performance events (e.g. rounds started, screens opened), and Firebase Crashlytics collects crash reports, to help us improve the App. This is not linked to your identity.
- PostHog collects the same kind of usage events and may record anonymized replays of app sessions (with text inputs masked) so we can see where the App is confusing or broken. This is not used for advertising.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide scoring, statistics, GPS distances, lock-screen and Apple Watch tracking, and AI coaching.
- To authenticate you and unlock the features included with your subscription.
- To understand aggregate usage and improve the App.
We do not use your data for advertising or profiling, and we do not sell your data.
3. Third-Party Services
Par Card integrates with the following third-party services, each governed by its own privacy policy:
- Supabase: Authentication and database for optional accounts and profiles.
- RevenueCat & Apple/Google: Subscription processing and entitlement management. Payments are handled by Apple or Google; we do not receive your payment information.
- Google Firebase (Analytics & Crashlytics): App-usage analytics and crash reporting, not linked to your identity.
- PostHog: Product analytics and anonymized session replay, used only to improve the App.
- Google Gemini: Generates AI coaching, swing, and scorecard-scanning feedback from the data described in Section 1. Apart from the swing-result cache described above, data is not retained after the response.
- Google Maps: Provides satellite imagery for the GPS rangefinder.
- OpenStreetMap: Source of course and green map data.
3a. Invite a Friend (Optional)
Par Card includes an optional invite feature: if a friend enters your invite code, you both receive 30 days of Par Card Pro at no charge. It is entirely optional, and no other part of the App depends on it.
When — and only when — you open the invite screen or enter a code, the App sends the following to our invite service (hosted on Supabase) so the free month can be granted through RevenueCat:
- A random installation identifier generated on your device the first time the invite screen is used. It is a random value, not a device or advertising ID, and it is not derived from your device or from you.
- Your RevenueCat customer identifier (a random per-install value, or your account identifier if you are signed in), so the free month is applied to the right installation.
- The six-character invite code being created or redeemed.
That is the entire payload. It does not include your rounds, scores, statistics, swing videos, scorecard photos, coach conversations, or location — none of your golf data is involved in the invite feature in any way. Records of invite codes and redemptions are kept only to grant the reward, to prevent abuse, and as an audit trail; email us and we will delete yours.
4. Data Storage and Security
Round data and settings are stored on your device (Hive) and are subject to your device's own security. Account and profile data are stored by Supabase with row-level security so you can only access your own records. Subscription and analytics data are held by the respective providers with industry-standard security practices.
5. Data Retention and Deletion
Local data: Your rounds, scores, and settings remain on your device until you delete the App. Uninstalling Par Card removes all locally stored data.
Account data: If you have an account, you can permanently delete your Par Card profile and associated data in the App at Settings → Account → Delete Account, or by emailing us — see our account deletion page. Apart from the swing-result cache described in Section 1, AI request data is not retained after the response is returned.
Purchase data: To request deletion of RevenueCat purchase records, contact dev@adelyons.com and we will submit the request on your behalf within 30 days.
6. Children's Privacy
Par Card is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights under applicable privacy law (including GDPR and CCPA) to:
- Access the personal data we or our processors hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate data.
- Request deletion of your data.
- Object to or restrict certain processing.
You can delete your account and its data directly in the App. For any other request, contact us at the email below.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
