Par Card — Privacy Policy

Short version: Par Card stores all your golf data locally on your device. We do not collect personal information, require an account, run ads, or track your usage. The only third-party contact is RevenueCat, used solely to verify your one-time premium purchase.

This Privacy Policy describes how Par Card ("we," "us," or "our"), developed by Adelyons Software LLC, handles information when you use the Par Card mobile application (the "App"). By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

Par Card is designed to collect as little information as possible. Here is a complete breakdown:

Data stored locally on your device only:

  • Player names: Names you type when setting up a round or saving your default name in Settings. These never leave your device.
  • Round data: Course names, dates, hole configurations (par per hole), and stroke scores. Stored on-device using Hive, a local database. Never uploaded to any server.
  • App settings: Your theme preference (light, dark, or system), your saved player name, and internal state for the in-app review prompt. All stored locally.

Purchase data (via RevenueCat):

  • When you purchase Par Card Premium, RevenueCat processes and verifies your transaction. RevenueCat receives an anonymous user identifier (generated automatically — not linked to your name or email), your purchase receipt, and basic device information needed to validate entitlements.
  • RevenueCat does not receive your name, email address, or any golf data.

What we do NOT collect:

  • No email address or account credentials — Par Card requires no sign-in.
  • No location data — the app does not request or use your location.
  • No camera or microphone access.
  • No contacts or address book data.
  • No analytics, crash reports, or usage telemetry from us directly.

2. How We Use Your Information

The data stored locally on your device is used only to provide the features of the app:

  • Displaying your past rounds and round history.
  • Calculating and displaying your golf statistics (Premium).
  • Pre-filling your player name when setting up new rounds.
  • Restoring an in-progress round if you leave the app mid-round.
  • Generating shareable scorecard images and PDF exports (Premium).
  • Remembering your theme preference across sessions.

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond running the app on your device.

3. Third-Party Services

Par Card integrates with the following third-party services:

  • RevenueCat (revenuecat.com): Used to verify your Par Card Premium purchase and manage your entitlement. RevenueCat receives an anonymous user ID, your purchase receipt, and device metadata. RevenueCat's privacy policy is available at revenuecat.com/privacy.
  • Apple App Store / Google Play Store: In-app purchases are processed directly by Apple or Google under their respective privacy policies. We do not receive your payment information.
  • Apple / Google In-App Review API: After you complete several rounds, the app may present a native OS prompt asking you to rate it. This uses Apple's SKStoreReviewRequestAPI or Google's In-App Review API. These APIs are provided by the OS and governed by Apple's and Google's privacy policies. No data passes through our servers.

4. Data Storage and Security

All golf data (rounds, scores, player names, settings) is stored exclusively on your device using Hive, a local embedded database. This data is subject to your device's own security and encryption. We cannot access, view, or retrieve this data.

Purchase verification data held by RevenueCat is stored on their servers with industry-standard security practices. See RevenueCat's security documentation for details.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

Local data: Your rounds, scores, and settings remain on your device until you delete the app. Uninstalling Par Card removes all locally stored data.

RevenueCat purchase data: If you would like your RevenueCat purchase record deleted, contact us at dev@adelyons.com and we will submit a deletion request to RevenueCat on your behalf. We will process such requests within 30 days.

6. Children's Privacy

Par Card is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The app does not require any account creation or personal information to function. If you believe a child has made a purchase through the app, please contact us and we will assist with any necessary resolution.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights under applicable privacy law (including GDPR and CCPA) to:

  • Access the personal data we or our processors hold about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate data.
  • Request deletion of your data.
  • Object to or restrict certain processing.

Because Par Card stores no personal data on our servers, most of your data can be managed directly on your device by uninstalling the app. For RevenueCat purchase data or any other request, contact us at the email below.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
