Does Par Card work offline?
Yes. Scoring works fully offline and rounds auto-save, because rounds, scores, and settings are stored on your device. Features that pull in satellite imagery or AI feedback need a connection.
Do I need an account to use Par Card?
No. Every core scoring feature works without an account, and signing in is optional. An account adds backup and sync across your devices, and it is required for the AI coach, swing analysis, and scorecard scanning.
How do the AI coach and swing analysis work?
The AI coach answers questions using an aggregated summary of your rounds — averages and percentages rather than raw round data — while swing analysis returns a 0 to 100 score with a six-fundamental breakdown of setup, backswing, downswing, tempo, impact, and finish. Both send your input through Par Card's server to Google Gemini; chat history stays on your device, and swing videos are not stored.
What golf game formats does Par Card support?
Five: Stroke Play, Stableford, Match Play, Skins, and Nassau, for up to 6 players over 9 or 18 holes. Stableford, Match Play, Skins, and Nassau are part of Par Card Pro.
Does Par Card track my location?
Only while the GPS rangefinder or Apple Watch distances are active, and only to calculate distances to the green. Those calculations happen on your device, and Adelyons Software LLC does not store your location on its servers.
