1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Coreheat ("Coreheat," "the App," or "the Game"), provided by Adelyons Software LLC ("we," "us," or "our"), you agree to these Terms of Service and End User License Agreement (the "Terms") and to our Privacy Policy. A standalone End User License Agreement is also available and is incorporated by reference. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. The Game

Coreheat is a single-player, offline, no-account push-your-luck arcade game with an idle city-building layer. You overclock the districts of a tiny isometric city built on a motherboard, banking your cycles before the heat gauge tips into a citywide meltdown, and you spend what you bank on infrastructure that keeps earning while you are away. It is a light-hearted, non-violent game rated 4+ / Everyone, provided for entertainment. The Game runs entirely on your device; as described in our Privacy Policy, there is no account and no game server, and your save is stored only on your device.

3. License Grant

Subject to these Terms, Adelyons Software LLC grants you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use one copy of the App on a device that you own or control, solely for your personal, non-commercial use. This license does not transfer any ownership rights. All rights not expressly granted are reserved. See the standalone EULA for the full license terms.

4. Purchases & Billing

• Free tier: The entire Mainboard City board — all eight districts, every system, the full meltdown — plus the complete City Works idle layer to maximum level, the daily Night Shift challenge, the story vignettes, the play-earned cosmetics, and the platform leaderboards are free, and no payment card is required to play. The free tier is not time-limited and is never throttled.
• What you can buy: Coreheat sells only one-time purchases. Four expansion boards — GPU Island (com.adelyons.coreheat.gpu_island), Cramtown (com.adelyons.coreheat.cramtown), Server Rack Skyline (com.adelyons.coreheat.rack_skyline), and Retro 486 Old-Town (com.adelyons.coreheat.old_town) — are $3.99 each, and the Chrome & Neon Garage Pack (com.adelyons.coreheat.chrome_neon), a purely cosmetic pack, is $3.99. An All-Access bundle (com.adelyons.coreheat.allaccess) at $9.99 unlocks all five at once, against $19.95 bought separately. Prices may vary by region and are shown in the App at the time of purchase.
• One-time purchases only: Coreheat is not sold by subscription. Every product is a non-consumable, one-time purchase that does not auto-renew and is yours permanently. There are no monthly, annual, or lifetime plans, no consumables, no purchasable in-game currency, and no ads.
• No free trial: Because the free board and the entire idle layer are fully playable and never expire, we do not offer a separate free trial. The free game is the trial.
• We never sell gameplay advantage: This is a promise, not a policy we may quietly revise. Cycles can never be purchased. No product raises your idle earning rate, changes heat, payouts, rolls, multipliers, the daily seed, or any other gameplay number, and no product exists or will exist that does. Purchases buy places and looks — new boards to play, and cosmetics — never power. Expansion boards are sidegrades: different, not stronger. Nothing you buy affects a leaderboard result you could not have achieved for free.
• The bundle is a discount, not a gate: Owning all five packs individually grants exactly what the All-Access bundle grants. There is no bundle-exclusive content, ever. All-Access also covers expansion boards we add in the future, at no additional charge.
• Quality-of-life tier: Your first purchase of any product unlocks the quality-of-life tier (the Shift Ledger stats dashboard, cosmetic loadout slots, City Photo Mode, and alternate app icons). It is convenience and vanity only, has zero gameplay effect, and is never sold as a separate product.
• When expansion boards become playable: Expansion boards can be purchased at any time but become playable once you have cleared Mainboard City once — a short, in-story prerequisite. If you buy one first, it waits for you on the Departures Board; nothing is lost.
• Store-managed billing: Purchases are billed through your Apple App Store or Google Play account, using their in-app billing, and are managed through that account. We never see, receive, or store your payment-card details.
• Restoring your purchases: Purchases are tied to your store account. Use Restore Purchases — available in the App's paywall footer and in Settings — to recover them after a reinstall or on a new device, at no additional charge. Family Sharing is enabled on the App Store.
• Refunds: Refunds are handled entirely by Apple or Google under their respective policies; we do not process payments and cannot issue a refund ourselves. Request one through Apple's or Google's purchase-history flow (the App links to your store's manage-purchases page). If a purchase is refunded or charged back, the corresponding unlock is revoked and that content locks again; your cycles, records, and free-board progress are untouched.
• Changes: We may change prices for future purchasers with notice. Purchases you have already made are never revoked or re-charged, and a change to the bundle price never removes access to content you already own.

5. Your Save & Data

Because Coreheat is local-first, your progress — your cycles, City Works upgrades, records, streaks, story beats, and settings — is stored only on your device; we do not receive, store, or claim any license to it. You are responsible for keeping your own device backups if you wish to preserve your save. The App does use crash-reporting and analytics services and, for scores, platform leaderboards; exactly what those receive is described in the Privacy Policy.

6. Idle Earnings & Your Device Clock

City Works earnings while you are away are computed on your device from elapsed wall-clock time, capped at 8 hours per absence. If your device clock moves backwards, no earnings accrue for that interval. Idle earnings are single-player progress only and never feed a leaderboard score.

7. Leaderboards & Fair Play

Scores and the daily Night Shift are posted to Apple Game Center or Google Play Games Services, which are operated by Apple and Google under their own terms and policies. You agree not to submit scores obtained by tampering with the App, its save file, or your device clock. We may not be able to remove entries from a platform leaderboard, but we may disable features of the App for accounts that abuse them, and the platform holders may remove entries under their own rules.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or tamper with the App, except to the extent permitted by law;
• Use the App in any unlawful way or to infringe the rights of others;
• Circumvent, disable, or interfere with the App's purchase, licensing, or entitlement mechanisms.

9. Intellectual Property

The App, its design, story, artwork, audio, and software are owned by Adelyons Software LLC and are protected by intellectual property laws. Meltdown clips, shift-report cards, and emoji grids the App generates are yours to post; the App itself, its characters, and its writing remain ours. These Terms grant you a personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App; they do not transfer any ownership rights. Any real-world hardware terminology used in the fiction belongs to its respective owners and is used descriptively; Coreheat is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any hardware manufacturer.

10. Apple App Store — Additional Terms

If you download the App from the Apple App Store, the following additional terms apply, and you acknowledge and agree that:

• These Terms are between you and Adelyons Software LLC only, and not with Apple Inc. ("Apple"). Apple is not responsible for the App or its content.
• The license granted is limited to a non-transferable license to use the App on any Apple-branded device that you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules in Apple's Media Services Terms and Conditions. To the extent these Terms conflict with Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA), the Apple Licensed Application EULA governs for App Store downloads.
• Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the App. Any questions or support requests should be directed to us at dev@adelyons.com.
• If the App fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price (if any); to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to the App.
• Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims by you or a third party relating to the App, including product-liability, regulatory, or intellectual-property claims.
• Apple and Apple's subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms, and upon your acceptance, Apple has the right (and is deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.

11. Disclaimers & No Warranty

The App is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including the warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted or error-free.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Adelyons Software LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, loss of a save, or loss of profits, arising from or related to your use of (or inability to use) the App, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability for any claim related to the App shall not exceed the amount you paid us for the App in the twelve months preceding the claim.

13. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it from your device, which also removes the data stored locally. We may suspend or terminate this license if you violate these Terms. These Terms continue to apply to your prior use.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Effective date" above and, where appropriate, through an in-app notice. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Iowa, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. You agree that any dispute not subject to the rules of the applicable app store will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Iowa, to the extent permitted by law.
