Overview
Coreheat ("Coreheat," "the App," or "the Game") is developed by Adelyons Software LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). Coreheat is a local-first, no-account push-your-luck arcade game with an idle city layer. This policy explains exactly what the App does and does not handle.
The short version: Coreheat has no account, no login, and no game server. Your save — your cycles, upgrades, records, and settings — is stored only on your device. We never ask for your name, email, phone number, contacts, or location. The only things that leave your device are (1) anonymous crash reports and product-analytics events that tell us whether the game is working and where players get stuck, (2) purchase validation when you buy or restore an optional unlock, and (3) your scores, if you play the leaderboards or the daily Night Shift, which go to Apple's or Google's leaderboard service. Reminders are local notifications, opt-in, and off by default. There are no ads, no advertising identifiers, and we never sell your data.
Information Stored On Your Device
The following is created and stored locally on your device only, in the App's private storage. It is not uploaded to us:
- Game save: Your banked cycles, City Works upgrade levels, records, streaks, daily results, story beats seen, and cosmetics.
- Idle timing: The timestamp of your last session, used only on your device to compute offline earnings (capped at 8 hours).
- App settings & preferences: Audio, haptics, colorblind heat-gauge mode, notification preference, and other in-app preferences.
Because this data lives only on your device, it is removed when you clear the App's data or uninstall the App.
No Account, No Login, No Game Server
- Coreheat does not require you to create an account, sign in, or provide an email address, phone number, or name. There is no contacts grab.
- We do not operate a game server that receives, stores, or backs up your save. There is no backend for gameplay — every board, including the paid expansion boards, ships inside the app and is unlocked by an entitlement flag, not a download.
- Your save is not synced between devices by us. If your device's operating system backs up app data (for example through iCloud or Android backup that you have enabled), that backup is controlled by you and your platform provider under their policies — not by us.
- The daily Night Shift is generated from a date-based seed on your device; it is identical worldwide without any server.
- The Game is fully playable offline. A network connection is only needed to buy or restore a purchase, to post a score, and to send the analytics and crash data described below.
Notifications (Opt-In, Local, Off by Default)
Coreheat can send you at most two reminders per day: one when your city's idle earnings hit their 8-hour cap, and one if you have not played the day's Night Shift by evening. These are local notifications, scheduled by the App on your device using your operating system's scheduler.
- They are opt-in and off by default — you turn them on in Settings, and you can turn them off there (or in your device's system settings) at any time.
- There is no push server, no push token collected by us, and no marketing or promotional messaging. Nothing about your play is sent anywhere to schedule them, and we cannot send you a notification you did not schedule by opting in.
No AI, No Model, No Recording
Coreheat's game logic, its rolls, and its daily seed are produced by deterministic, rule-based code that runs entirely on your device. There is no language model, no AI model, and no model download anywhere in the App. Coreheat does not use your microphone or camera, and it does not read your device's real hardware temperature, clock speeds, or any other sensor.
Analytics & Crash Reporting
To keep the game stable and to understand which parts of it work, the App sends anonymous diagnostic and usage data to the following providers. None of it identifies you: it is tied to a random, app-generated installation identifier, never to a name, email, or account, because no account exists.
- Firebase Crashlytics (Google) — crash reporting. If the App crashes, Crashlytics receives a crash trace plus device model, OS version, and app version so we can fix it.
- Google Analytics 4 / Firebase Analytics (Google) — anonymous app-usage events (for example: a shift started, a shift was banked, a meltdown happened, a paywall was viewed), with app version, device model, OS version, and a coarse region derived from your IP address. See Google's privacy policy.
- PostHog — product analytics: the same anonymous gameplay events, used for funnels and retention, and session replay of in-app screens — a reconstruction of the App's own UI and your taps within it, so we can see where players get confused. Session replay captures only what happens inside Coreheat; it never captures other apps, your screen outside the game, your keyboard, your camera, or your microphone. The App has no text-entry fields, so there is nothing you type for it to record. See PostHog's privacy policy.
We use this data only to fix bugs, balance the game, and decide what to build next. It is never sold, never used for advertising, and never joined to any advertising identifier — the App contains no ad SDK and no ad network. If you would rather send nothing at all, you can play with the device offline; the entire game works without a network.
Optional Purchases (Boards, Cosmetics & All-Access)
Coreheat's Mainboard City board and its entire idle layer are free, with optional one-time purchases for expansion boards, a cosmetic pack, and the All-Access bundle. Purchases are handled by trusted providers:
- Apple App Store / Google Play: When you make a one-time purchase, the transaction is processed entirely by Apple or Google under their own privacy policies. We never receive or store your payment-card details.
- RevenueCat: We use RevenueCat to validate and restore your purchases. RevenueCat receives a purchase token, an anonymous app-generated user identifier, and basic device and purchase metadata needed to deliver and restore your unlocks. It does not receive your gameplay save. See RevenueCat's privacy policy.
If you never make a purchase, no purchase-related data is sent. Coreheat sells only one-time purchases — there is no subscription, no auto-renewal, no consumables, and no free trial — and no product ever grants a gameplay advantage. Purchase terms are described in our Terms of Service and EULA, and are also governed by Apple's Media Services Terms and Google Play's Terms of Service.
Leaderboards & Sharing
- Platform leaderboards: Scores you post — biggest bank, the daily Night Shift, streaks, full clears — are submitted to Apple Game Center or Google Play Games Services, which display them under whatever nickname you have configured with Apple or Google. Those services are operated by Apple and Google under their own privacy policies; we do not run a leaderboard server and receive no personal data from them.
- Meltdown clips, shift cards & emoji grids: These are captured and composed on your device and are only shared where you choose to send them, using your device's share sheet. Nothing is uploaded to us.
What We Do NOT Collect
- We do not require an account, email address, phone number, or name, and we do not request access to your contacts.
- We do not collect precise location data.
- We do not use your microphone or camera.
- We do not use advertising identifiers or cross-app tracking, and we do not show ads.
- We do not upload your game save or receive a copy of your progress.
- We do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Data Retention & Deletion
- Your save: Stored only on your device. Clearing the App's data or deleting the App permanently removes it. Because there is no account and no game server, there is no server-side copy of your save to delete and no account to close — which is also why there is no "delete account" page.
- Analytics & crash data: Held by Google (Firebase/GA4) and PostHog under their retention schedules and deleted on their normal cycles. Because it is anonymous and tied only to a random install identifier, uninstalling the App ends collection permanently. If you would like us to delete the analytics data associated with your installation, email us and we will do so — see below.
- Purchase records: Held by Apple, Google, and RevenueCat under their respective policies. Because Coreheat sells only one-time purchases, there is no subscription to manage or cancel.
- Leaderboard scores: Managed by Apple Game Center or Google Play Games Services under their policies, through your Apple or Google account.
Security
Your save stays within the App's private storage on your device, protected by your device's operating system. All communication with the App Store, Google Play, RevenueCat, Firebase, and PostHog uses encrypted (TLS) connections. No system can guarantee absolute security, but keeping your gameplay on-device means there is no central database of your saves to breach.
Children's Privacy
Coreheat is rated 4+ / Everyone and is suitable for all ages, but it is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children as its primary audience. The App does not ask anyone for personal information — there is no account, no profile, no name, no email, no chat, and no user-generated content — and the analytics described above is anonymous and never used for advertising or profiling. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the equivalent age in your region). If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us using the details below and we will delete it.
Your Rights
Privacy laws such as the GDPR (EU/EEA/UK) and CCPA/CPRA (California) give you rights to access, correct, delete, and port your personal data, and to opt out of its sale or sharing. We do not sell or share your personal information, and because Coreheat has no account, we hold no name, email, or profile about you. The anonymous analytics and crash data described above is not linked to your identity. To ask us to delete the analytics data associated with your installation, or to exercise any right, email dev@adelyons.com and we will help. For purchase data held by Apple, Google, or RevenueCat, and for leaderboard data held by Apple or Google, you can also contact those providers directly.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as the App evolves. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Effective date" above and, where appropriate, through an in-app notice. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
