A quarter of an hour you can watch
The dial is set to fifteen minutes, a quarter turn of the disk. Press Start and the wedge shrinks for fifteen minutes, turns red for the last ninety seconds and chimes at zero. Fifteen minutes is silent reading, a homework block for a younger child, a tidy-the-kitchen sprint, a short nap, or the slice of a meeting you promised would be short.
Fifteen-minute uses
- Reading time. Full screen on the board or a laptop at the front; the class watches the disk, not the clock.
- Homework in blocks.
15m-Homework.5m-Break.15m-Homeworkas a routine link gives a child two blocks with a visible break between. - Chores you dread. Fifteen minutes on one room, then stop. The chime gives you permission to.
- Screen time with a visible end. A disk the child can see shrinking makes "fifteen more minutes" a shape rather than a negotiation.
- Breakfast in a morning routine. Chain it:
10m-Get_dressed.15m-Breakfast.5m-Shoes_and_bag.

Questions
How do I start the 15 minute timer?
Press Start. The disk shrinks over fifteen minutes, turns red for the last ninety seconds and chimes at zero. Start again pauses; Reset returns to fifteen minutes.
Can I set 15 minutes and then a break?
Yes. Open Routine link, type 15m-Homework.5m-Break and press Use. The timer runs both steps with a chime between them, and the next step is shown under the disk.
Can children read this timer?
Yes. It is a shape, not digits: the wedge is the time left. The Kid theme uses bigger shapes and brighter colours; add ~kid to the link to open in it.
Does it work on a phone?
Yes, in any mobile browser, with the disk sized to the screen. For a countdown on the lock screen while the phone is locked, use the Timedisk app.
Is the 15 minute timer free?
Yes. No account, no ads, nothing stored except your theme choice in your own browser.
