The decline by decade

In the survey, men's medians are highest at 20–24 and lose about two inches per decade after their late twenties; women's medians are highest in the early teens and fall more gently. These are snapshots of different people at different ages, not one group followed over time, and they describe the general population rather than people who train for jumping.

Compared with a national sample, never with other users. Teen ages are on the full table; trained athletes by position are on the combine page.

Between two published points the percentile is interpolated in a straight line and rounded to a whole number from 1 to 99; below the 5th or above the 95th the table has no points, so the page says so instead of guessing.
