Carnac in 3D
The Ménec alignments
Carnac, Morbihan, Brittany, France
The Carnac stones are the largest group of standing stones in the world, on the south coast of Brittany. This 3D walk follows the Ménec alignments: about 1,100 stones in eleven rows running for roughly a kilometre, tallest at the western end and shrinking as they run east. Local legend calls them a Roman legion turned to stone; the stones are older than Rome by some four thousand years.
