What is Axis?
Axis is an AI fitness and body composition app for iOS and Android from Adelyons Software LLC. It estimates body fat percentage and circumference measurements from a photo, logs workouts from a 400-plus exercise library, syncs two-way with Hevy, and includes Apple Watch and Wear OS companion apps.
Body and food photos are sent over an encrypted connection to Google Gemini for analysis, and only after you approve it. Measurements and workout history are kept in a local database on your device. Axis is free to download on iOS and Android.

How does the Axis AI body scan work?
You take a photo in the app, and Axis sends it over an encrypted connection to Google Gemini, which returns an estimated body fat percentage along with neck, chest, waist, hip, and left and right bicep, forearm, and thigh measurements. You can edit any value before you approve it, and the results and the photo are saved in your device's local database.
How accurate is the Axis body fat estimate?
The body fat number is an AI estimate from a photo, shown with a confidence value, and every value can be edited before you save it. The Axis Terms of Service note that AI estimates are inherently approximate and carry no guarantee of accuracy, and that Axis is not a medical device, so verify any value before relying on it for health or training decisions.
Where do Axis body scan photos go?
Body and food photos are sent over an encrypted connection to Google Gemini for analysis, which Google does not use to train its models under its API terms. The saved copy of each photo stays on your device, and you can enter measurements manually instead or revoke AI consent at any time in Profile, under AI Permissions.
Does Axis work offline?
Manual measurements, workout logging, and trend graphs work offline from a local SQLite database on your device. AI body and food scans and the AI Coach are the exception and need an internet connection, because they are processed by Google Gemini.
What platforms is Axis available on?
Axis is available on the App Store for iOS and on Google Play for Android. It also ships companion apps for Apple Watch and Wear OS that let you log a set from your wrist.
Does Axis sync with Hevy?
Yes. Hevy sync is two-way and optional: Axis pushes the workouts you log to Hevy and pulls your Hevy history into one dashboard. Your Hevy API key is stored on your device and never on Adelyons servers.
Is Axis free?
Axis is free to download on iOS and Android, and manual measurements, the workout log, Hevy sync, and the Analytics charts are free. aXis Pro, a monthly or annual subscription, unlocks AI body and food scans and the AI Coach. Adelyons Software LLC funds the app through subscriptions rather than ad networks or data brokers.
How do I delete my Axis data?
You can delete individual scans and workouts in the app, and the deletion is immediate and permanent; workouts synced to Hevy are deleted there too. Uninstalling Axis removes all local data, and Adelyons keeps no backup copy of it.
