Privacy Policy

Effective date: June 25, 2026

Overview

Upright: POTS & Dysautonomia Tracker ("Upright," "the App") is developed by Adelyons Software LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). Upright helps people living with POTS (postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome) and dysautonomia manage their day — running a guided standing heart-rate test, tracking salt and fluid intake, logging symptoms and triggers, setting medication reminders, and exporting a doctor-ready PDF report. This policy explains how the App handles your information.

The short version: Upright is local-first. There is no account, no login, and no cloud backend. All of your health data is stored only on your device and never leaves your phone. The single exception is purchase and subscription data, which is handled by Apple, Google, and RevenueCat solely to validate an optional Upright Pro purchase. We never receive, sell, or have access to your health data.

Not medical advice. Upright provides general information and self-tracking tools only. It is not a medical device, does not diagnose any condition, and is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult your physician.

Information Stored On Your Device

The following is created and stored locally on your device only, in a private database (SQLite) within the App. It is not transmitted to us or to any server:

Because this data lives only on your device, it is removed when you delete an entry in the App, clear the App's data, or uninstall the App.

No Account & No Cloud

Optional Purchases (Upright Pro)

Upright's core tracking is free, with an optional Upright Pro subscription. Purchases are the only feature that involves any data leaving your device, and they are handled by trusted providers:

If you never make a purchase, no purchase-related data is sent. Subscription terms (including auto-renewal and your free trial) are described in our Terms of Service, and are also governed by Apple's Media Services Terms and Google Play's Terms of Service.

What We Do NOT Collect

Data Retention & Deletion

Because your standing tests, intake, symptoms, medications, notes, and reports are stored only on your device, you control them directly and they are kept for as long as you keep them:

Security

Your health data stays within the App's private storage on your device, protected by your device's operating system. Communication with the App Store, Google Play, and RevenueCat for purchase handling uses encrypted (TLS) connections. No system can guarantee absolute security, but keeping your data on-device means there is no central database of your health information to breach.

Children's Privacy

Upright is intended for a general adult audience managing a health condition. It is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 where applicable), and because the App does not collect personal data on our servers, we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If a child uses the App on a shared device, any data they enter remains only on that device.

Your Rights

Privacy laws such as the GDPR (EU/EEA/UK) and CCPA/CPRA (California) give you rights to access, correct, delete, and port your personal data, and to opt out of its sale. Because Upright does not collect or store your personal data on our servers, we hold nothing about you to disclose, correct, or sell. You can exercise full control over your in-app data using the deletion options above. For any purchase data held by Apple, Google, or RevenueCat, contact those providers or reach us using the details below and we will help.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the App evolves. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Effective date" above and, where appropriate, through an in-app notice. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
