Restaurant roulette for two
“I don’t care, you pick.” “I’m not picky.” Then six restaurants get vetoed and nobody has eaten.

Roll it. Veto it. It learns.
Tap the dice and I’m Not Picky picks one real restaurant near you that is open right now. Don’t like it? Thumbs down, or re-roll. Went and loved it? Thumbs up. A small taste engine on your phone learns from every tap, so the dice land on places you will both say yes to — with a few new ones mixed in, because a roll has to stay a roll.
There is nothing to answer before the first roll. No quiz, no chips, no setup. The first launch is the dice and a Roll button, and every filter already has a default that needs no attention.
Only real restaurants, only open ones
Read the reviews of any other food-roulette app and you find the same two complaints: it offered a nail salon, and it offered a restaurant that shut down two years ago. Four checks run before anything can land on the dice:
- the place is still operating;
- its primary type is on a food allowlist — a salon that happens to list “restaurant” among its tags is still a salon;
- it is inside the radius you chose;
- it is open now — or, if you switch that on, still open at the time you would really get there, drive included.
A closed or non-food suggestion is a bug here, not a quirk of the data.
It learns what you both like
Every thumbs up, thumbs down and re-roll teaches the dice, and “did you end up there?” teaches them hardest. Twenty rejections of one cuisine and it all but disappears. A restaurant you went to last Tuesday sinks for about a week, so you are never handed the same burger place five nights running. Two thumbs down bans somewhere outright, and the never-again list is right there and reversible.
All of it runs on your phone. No account, no cloud model, and no “AI” doing your thinking for you — just plain arithmetic over what you tapped. Nothing about your taste leaves the device unless you link a partner, and then it goes only to them.
Date night, solved for two
This is the part every other picker skips: there are two of you.
- Link your partner’s phone with a six-character code — nobody signs in to anything. Either phone then rolls with both people’s taste, even when your partner is nowhere near theirs.
- Run a live veto round. Four cards are dealt; you each vote yes or no on your own phone; nobody sees the other’s votes until you are both finished; the winner is revealed on both screens at once. Only one phone handy? Pass it across the table instead.
- Making a link code needs Pro; joining one never does.
Free, and what Pro adds
Free: the roll, the learning, every filter, the never-again list, the history and the export — plus three fresh searches a day, with unlimited re-rolls inside each one.
I’m Not Picky Pro: linking your partner’s phone, the live veto round, locking a die so you keep the cuisine and re-roll only the place, planning ahead for another town on another night, unlimited fresh searches, and a favourites wheel that rolls only among places you have already loved. Monthly, yearly (with a 7-day free trial) or a one-time lifetime purchase.
No ads, ever. Not before a roll, not during one. No sign-up, no email, no password.

Privacy, in one paragraph
Your rough position goes to the restaurant list through our own proxy when you roll, rounded to about 110 metres before it is sent, and it is never stored. Your taste, your history and your never-again list live on your phone. If you link a partner, exactly three things sync and only between the two of you: your taste snapshot, your “we went” history and your never-again lists. Unlink and all of it is deleted, for both of you, immediately. The full detail is in the Privacy Policy, and Delete synced data explains how to remove it.
