What to keep so the warranty is usable
- The receipt or order confirmation with the purchase date: the term runs from it.
- The model and serial number from the label; DeWalt service asks for both.
- The date the problem started and a photo or short video of it, for the claim.

Read as a starting point, not as the contract. These are the standard terms each manufacturer publishes for new products bought in the United States, restated in our words with the page we read linked and the date we read it. Your product's own warranty card, the retailer's return policy and your state's or country's consumer law may give you more, and some product lines carry different terms. Commercial use is usually excluded.
Where the app uses this. When a receipt or warranty card names no term, Warranty Drawer starts the expiry clock from this table for the brand it read, labels it "the brand's published standard term", and lets you change it in one tap. Snap the receipt and the reminder is set for 30, 7 and 1 days before the term ends.
