How to read these numbers
- Standard warranty is the base parts-and-labor term for a new product. Longer parts-only coverage (a compressor, a motor, a grill's cookbox) is noted on the brand page where the maker publishes it.
- Return window is the manufacturer's own store policy. Buying from a retailer, the retailer's window applies and is printed on the receipt.
- Checked is the date we read the maker's page. Terms change; the linked page is the authority.
- In the EU and UK a two-year legal conformity guarantee applies on top of these terms.
Read as a starting point, not as the contract. These are the standard terms each manufacturer publishes for new products bought in the United States, restated in our words with the page we read linked and the date we read it. Your product's own warranty card, the retailer's return policy and your state's or country's consumer law may give you more, and some product lines carry different terms. Commercial use is usually excluded.
Where the app uses this. When a receipt or warranty card names no term, Warranty Drawer starts the expiry clock from this table for the brand it read, labels it "the brand's published standard term", and lets you change it in one tap. Snap the receipt and the reminder is set for 30, 7 and 1 days before the term ends.
