Lake Champlain, Vermont · 1977 · "Champ" · July 1977
As it was reported
A still summer day on the shore, July 1977.

A sunken tree trunk, lifted by decay gases, surfacing root-first.
Someone photographed this in Strangefield — a first-person 3D reconstruction of the place, walked the way the witnesses described it. What is Strangefield?
