Overview

Anchorly ("Anchorly," "the App") is developed by Adelyons Software LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). Anchorly is a calm, dignified, local-first companion for the caregiver of someone living with dementia or Alzheimer's. It lets you keep a fast daily log; decode sundowning and agitation by capturing hard moments as Trigger → Behavior → What helped; track medications; keep a person-centered life story and calm card any new carer can read; and check in on your own wellbeing. This policy explains how the App handles your information.

Information Stored On Your Device

The following is created and stored locally on your device only, in a private database (SQLite) within the App. It is not transmitted to us or to any server:

• Loved-one profiles & life story: Names or nicknames, age, background, "about them" details, reminiscence prompts, photos you add, and the things that light them up or upset them.
• Daily logs: Agitation and mood, sleep, meals and appetite, toileting, wandering, the good moments ("glimmers"), and free-text notes.
• Decoder records (Trigger → Behavior → What helped): The triggers, behaviors, and what helped that you record for each hard moment.
• Medications: The medication schedule and your local "given?" records and reminders.
• Calm card: Favorite music, photos, phrases, and routines that help during agitation.
• Caregiver check-ins: Your own daily "how are you today" entries and wellbeing notes.
• Patterns & insights: The sundowning time-of-day curve, trigger ranking, "what helps" effectiveness, and (for Anchorly+) the on-device AI weekly digest — all computed locally from the data above.
• Reports: The care-snapshot and "about them" PDFs, which are generated on your device.
• App settings & preferences: Your accessibility choices (large text, calm mode) and other in-app preferences.

Because this data lives only on your device, it is removed when you delete an entry in the App, clear the App's data, or uninstall the App.

Information About a Third Party

Much of what you record concerns another person — the loved one you care for, who may not be able to provide consent themselves. We have designed Anchorly so that this information is entered by you, the caregiver, and stays only on your device. We never receive it, and there is no server it could be sent to. You are responsible for recording this information appropriately and in keeping with your loved one's dignity and best interests, and for sharing any report you generate only with people who should see it. The care-snapshot and life-story PDFs are created locally and shared solely if and when you choose.

No Account & No Cloud

• Anchorly does not require you to create an account, sign in, or provide an email address, phone number, name, or any other identifier. There is no contacts grab.
• We do not operate a server that receives, stores, or backs up your data. There is no backend anywhere in the App.
• Your data is not synced between devices by us. If your device's operating system backs up app data (for example through iCloud or Android backup that you have enabled), that backup is controlled by you and your platform provider under their policies — not by us.
• You can create your own backup using the App's local export/restore (CSV/PDF), which you save and share yourself.

Optional Purchases (Anchorly+)

Anchorly's core daily log, decoder, life story, and caregiver check-in are free forever, with an optional Anchorly+ upgrade. Purchases are the only feature that involves any data leaving your device, and they are handled by trusted providers:

• Apple App Store / Google Play: When you subscribe or make the lifetime purchase, the transaction is processed entirely by Apple or Google under their own privacy policies. We never receive or store your payment-card details.
• RevenueCat: We use RevenueCat to validate and restore your Anchorly+ entitlement. RevenueCat receives a purchase token, an anonymous app-generated user identifier, and basic device and purchase metadata needed to deliver and restore your purchase. It does not receive any of your loved one's or health data — no logs, decoder records, medications, profiles, life story, calm card, or reports. See RevenueCat's privacy policy.

If you never make a purchase, no purchase-related data is sent. Subscription terms (including auto-renewal) are described in our Terms of Service, and are also governed by Apple's Media Services Terms and Google Play's Terms of Service.

On-Device AI Weekly Digest

The optional Anchorly+ weekly digest is powered by a small language model (flutter_gemma / Gemma 3 1B) that runs entirely on your device. To keep the install small, the model is downloaded only if you opt in the first time you use the feature, from the model provider's servers. After that, the digest is generated locally and is scoped to summarizing your own logs — it is not an open-ended chatbot. Your loved one's information is never sent anywhere to produce the digest, and on devices that can't run the model the feature is simply hidden. The download itself transfers the model to your phone; none of your data is uploaded in the process.

What We Do NOT Collect

• We do not collect, upload, or store your or your loved one's data on any server.
• We do not require an account, email address, phone number, name, or login, and we do not request access to your contacts.
• We do not collect location data.
• We do not use advertising identifiers or any cross-app tracking, and we do not show ads.
• We do not use third-party analytics or crash-reporting SDKs in the App that send your usage or personal data to us.
• We do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone. There is nothing for us to sell — your data stays on your phone.

Data Retention & Deletion

Because your profiles, logs, decoder records, medications, life story, calm card, check-ins, and reports are stored only on your device, you control them directly and they are kept for as long as you keep them:

• Delete in-app: Remove individual entries at any time, or clear the App's data from within the App or your device settings.
• Uninstall: Deleting the App from your device permanently removes all of its locally stored data.
• Purchase records: Subscription and purchase records held by Apple, Google, or RevenueCat are retained under their respective policies. You can manage or cancel a subscription from your device's store settings.

Security

Your data stays within the App's private storage on your device, protected by your device's operating system. Communication with the App Store, Google Play, and RevenueCat for purchase handling — and the one-time AI model download, if you opt in — uses encrypted (TLS) connections. No system can guarantee absolute security, but keeping your data on-device means there is no central database of your family's information to breach.

Children's Privacy

Anchorly is designed to be used by adult caregivers. It is not directed to children, and it does not request that children provide information to us. Because everything is local and there is no server, we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone — there is nowhere for such data to be sent to us. If you believe information somehow reached us (which our architecture is designed to prevent), contact us using the details below and we will help.

Your Rights

Privacy laws such as the GDPR (EU/EEA/UK) and CCPA/CPRA (California) give you rights to access, correct, delete, and port your personal data, and to opt out of its sale. Because Anchorly does not collect or store your personal data on our servers, we hold nothing about you or your loved one to disclose, correct, or sell. You can exercise full control over your in-app data using the deletion and export options above. For any purchase data held by Apple, Google, or RevenueCat, contact those providers or reach us using the details below and we will help.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the App evolves. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Effective date" above and, where appropriate, through an in-app notice. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
