Tonight · the free generator
Date night idea generator
One tap, one good idea, never a list to scroll. Set what tonight allows and draw. Every idea comes with its plan: the steps, what to bring and two things to talk about on the way.
Date ideas by the night you are having

Date night ideas in your city
Every idea names a kind of place, so these pages carry no business lookup and no sponsored listings. They are the ideas that fit a night out in a large city, drawn fresh for each one.

Questions couples ask
- Is this really random, or the same five ideas every time?
- It is the app’s own draw engine running in your browser: it filters the library to what fits tonight, drops anything you have already seen this visit, and picks one by weight. Nothing repeats until every fitting idea has been shown, and then it starts over rather than stopping.
- Do the ideas work where I live?
- Yes. Every idea names a kind of place, such as a park, a diner counter, a bookshop or your own kitchen, never a specific business, so it works in a small town exactly as it does downtown.
- Does it work with a baby or a toddler asleep at home?
- Tick “kid asleep at home” and the draw keeps to ideas you can do quietly at home without leaving. About half of the free library qualifies.
- How is cost shown?
- In words: Free, Low cost, Mid or Splurge. Prices differ everywhere, so the ideas never quote a dollar figure.
- What does the app add?
- The same 150 free ideas plus 450 more and four seasonal decks with Standing Date Plus, a jar for your own ideas, a standing date (every other Friday, say) that reminds you both, a memory saved after each date, and a small on-device engine that learns what the two of you say yes to. No account, no ads.
- Is anything stored or tracked here?
- The page keeps your filters in the address bar and the ideas you have seen in memory for this visit only. Nothing you choose is sent anywhere.
Put it on your standing date
One tap in the app, and tonight is decided
Standing Date is the same generator with the full plan for every idea, a jar for your own, a standing date that reminds you both before each one, and a memory saved after. No account, no ads. One phone is enough; a linked partner phone shares it live.
