1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Detox My Life mobile application (the "App") provided by Adelyons Software LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms, our End User License Agreement, and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
2. Research, Not Medical Advice — Please Read
Research, not medical advice. Detox My Life shows ingredient research with sources and an evidence tier (consensus, emerging, fringe) in the lens you choose. It does not diagnose, treat, or tell you to start or stop any medication, treatment, sunscreen or vaccine, and it never states that a product causes a disease in you. Fringe claims are labelled as not scientific consensus and shown with the other side. Talk to a qualified professional about your health.
What the App is: a tool that reads product labels, infers how a product is likely used, and presents ingredient research — each claim with an evidence tier (consensus, emerging or fringe), a plain-English reason it applies to that use, the exposure it would depend on, the other side of the argument, and at least one live source — in the evidence lens you choose. The App also computes a household Detox Score and a plan of suggested swaps using deterministic rules on your device.
What the App is not: it is not a medical device, a diagnostic tool, a safety certification, or a substitute for professional advice. Evidence tiers describe the standing of a claim in the literature, not a probability of harm to you. Fringe claims are shown so you can see who argues them and what the evidence says against them; they are labelled as not scientific consensus. Alternatives are product types, never brands; we take no payment from brands and carry no affiliate links.
Your responsibility: you decide what to use in your home. Do not start or stop any medication, treatment, sunscreen or vaccine on the basis of anything in the App, and consult a qualified professional about any health concern.
3. License Grant
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on devices you own or control, for your personal, non-commercial use. See the EULA for the full license terms.
4. The Service
Detox My Life is a local-first, no-account home-detox companion: a seven-room baseline that produces a Detox Score; label scanning that reads the ingredient panel, infers the likely use, and researches ingredients with sourced claims in three evidence tiers; a plan of next swaps ranked by impact and ease; a score graph; local reminders; and JSON export. As described in our Privacy Policy, your baseline, products, plan and history are stored only on your device. The label scan sends a photo to our scan service, which processes it and does not retain it. The scan service is subject to a fair-use daily limit per installation and a service-wide research budget; when either is reached the App tells you and a queued scan resumes later. We may modify, suspend or discontinue any part of the service at any time.
5. Subscriptions & Billing (Detox My Life Pro)
Free & Pro: The baseline, the Detox Score, five label scans per rolling 30 days with full results and sources, your next swap, manual add and export are free, and no payment card is required to start. Detox My Life Pro unlocks unlimited scans, lens control and saved research, the full plan with snooze and skip, history graphs, reminders, category modes and household export. Plans currently include a Monthly subscription, an Annual subscription (recommended, with a 7-day free trial), and a one-time Lifetime purchase. All three unlock the same Pro features. Prices vary by region and are shown in the App at the time of purchase in your local currency.
Store-managed billing: Subscriptions and the lifetime purchase are billed through your Apple App Store or Google Play account and managed there. We never see or store your payment-card details, and we never hold your data hostage: the baseline, the score and export are never paywalled.
Free trial: A clearly-disclosed 7-day free trial is offered on the Annual plan only and is cancel-anytime. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, the Annual subscription begins and is charged at the then-current price. The Monthly plan and Lifetime purchase do not include a trial.
Auto-renewal and cancellation: Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, through your device's subscription settings. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies.
Invite a friend: Optionally, you can invite a friend; when they redeem your code you both receive 30 days of Pro at no charge, subject to fair-use caps. The reward is tied to the installation it was granted on.
6. Your Content & Data
You own the information you enter into the App. Because the App is local-first, your baseline, products, plan and history are stored only on your device; we do not receive, store, or claim any license to them. A label photo you scan is transmitted to our scan service solely to be processed, and you grant us the limited right to process it for that purpose; it is not retained. You can export your data yourself (JSON) at any time and delete the server-side scan log from Settings. See the Privacy Policy for full details.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to misuse the App, including by attempting to circumvent scan limits, reverse-engineer the scan service, submit images you have no right to submit, or use the App for any unlawful purpose. You will not present the App's research as medical advice to others.
8. Intellectual Property
The App, its design, code, rule engines, evidence corpus, and content are owned by Adelyons Software LLC or its licensors and protected by intellectual property laws. Sources shown in the App belong to their respective publishers and are linked, not reproduced.
9. Apple App Store — Additional Terms
If you obtained the App from the Apple App Store, the Apple-specific terms in our EULA apply, including that Apple is a third-party beneficiary of the EULA and has no responsibility for the App or its content.
10. Disclaimers & No Warranty
The App is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted or error-free, that a label will be read correctly, that an inferred use is right, that any claim, tier, source, score, plan or alternative is accurate, complete or current, or that a source will remain available. Research summaries are produced with the help of a language model and verified for wording and live sources, not for truth; read the sources.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Adelyons Software LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data or profits, or for any decision you make about a product, arising from or related to your use of (or inability to use) the App. Our total liability for any claim related to the App shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.
12. Termination
You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it, which removes its local data; the server-side scan log can be purged from Settings or via the deletion page. We may suspend the scan service for an installation that abuses it.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms as the App evolves. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date and, where appropriate, through an in-app notice. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Iowa, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes not subject to the rules of the applicable app store will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Iowa, to the extent permitted by law.
