Privacy First — Your Apiary Stays on the Phone
Combwise is built local-first. Here's exactly how it works:
- No account, no cloud, no server. You don't sign up or log in. There is no backend that receives your data — nothing to leak and nothing to fail on an update, a new phone, or a dead spot in the yard.
- Your apiary never leaves the device. Yards, hives, inspections, treatments, reminders, and notes are stored only in a local database (SQLite) on your phone.
- Permanence is the promise. Combwise auto-backs-up on-device and gives you one-tap open export (JSON/CSV) and tap-to-PDF records that you save and share yourself. Backup and export are free for everyone — never a Pro upsell.
- Guidance is deterministic and on-device. The Next Actions engine, mite thresholds, and withdrawal countdowns are rule-based on-device logic. There is no LLM, no AI model, no model download, and no network or key — identical input gives identical output.
