Privacy Policy
Effective date: September 10, 2026
Overview
Chainbreaker ("Chainbreaker," "the Game," "the App") is developed by Adelyons Software LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). Chainbreaker is a single-player, local-first arena action game. This policy explains how the App handles your information.
The short version: Chainbreaker is local-first. There is no account, no login, and no cloud save. Two optional features talk to our Supabase service: the online leaderboards (see below), which receive a random device identifier, your display name, and your scores; and the invite feature (see Invite a Friend), which sends only a random installation identifier and an invite code. Everything the game creates — your progress, relics, upgrades, currency, cosmetics, and settings — is stored only on your device. We use no third-party analytics or cross-app tracking SDKs. There are no ads of any kind and no advertising SDK in the App. Apart from those two features, the only data that leaves your device is purchase data, handled by Apple, Google, and our purchase provider (RevenueCat), and the scores the App submits to Apple Game Center or Google Play Games. We never receive, sell, or have access to your game data.
Cartoon action, teen-rated. Chainbreaker is a stylized action game with cartoon violence and no blood or gore. It is intended for a teen and adult audience, not for young children.
Information Stored On Your Device
The following is created and stored locally on your device only, within the App. It is not transmitted to us or to any server:
- Progress: Biomes and arenas cleared, bosses beaten, and your daily-challenge and leaderboard results held locally.
- Relics & upgrades: The relics you have unlocked and the upgrade-tree nodes you have purchased with in-game currency.
- Currency & cosmetics: Your embers and Godsparks balances and the chain-skin sets you own.
- Clips: Run clips are generated on-device and played back on the results screen; the App has no option to save or share them.
- Settings & preferences: Your in-app options.
Because this data lives only on your device, it is removed when you clear the App's data or uninstall the App.
No Account, No Cloud Save
- Chainbreaker does not require you to create an account, sign in, or provide an email address, phone number, name, or any other identifier.
- We do not operate a server that receives, stores, or backs up your game data. The only backend the App talks to is our Supabase service, for the optional leaderboards and invite feature described in this policy.
- Your data is not synced between devices by us. If your device's operating system backs up app data (for example through iCloud or Android backup that you have enabled), that backup is controlled by you and your platform provider under their policies — not by us.
- Leaderboards: when the online boards are available, your daily-challenge result, and any biome run you finish with an S rank or better, are posted to our scores table (hosted on Supabase) with a random device identifier generated by the App, your display name (by default “Breaker-” plus four characters; you can change it in Settings), the score, style rank, run seed, Edicts, and a replay checksum. Other players can see the display name, score, and rank. Scores are also submitted to Apple Game Center or Google Play Games under that provider's policy.
The Game Runs On Your Device
Chainbreaker's gameplay — the physics simulation, the style meter, enemy behavior, and the deterministic re-simulation used to render your run clips — runs entirely on your device. There is no language model or AI service involved, and the game requires no network connection to play (only to make an optional purchase, post to or view the leaderboards, or use the invite feature). Nothing about your play is sent anywhere to run the game.
Optional Purchases
Chainbreaker is free to download, with optional one-time purchases (the Full Circuit unlock and cosmetic chain-skin sets). Purchases are handled by trusted providers:
- Apple App Store / Google Play: When you make a purchase, the transaction is processed entirely by Apple or Google under their own privacy policies. We never receive or store your payment-card details.
- RevenueCat: We use RevenueCat to validate and restore your purchases. RevenueCat receives a purchase token, an anonymous app-generated identifier, and basic device and purchase metadata needed to deliver and restore your purchase. It does not receive any of your game data. See RevenueCat's privacy policy.
If you never make a purchase, no purchase-related data is sent. Purchases are governed by Apple's Media Services Terms and Google Play's Terms of Service. In-game currency (embers and Godsparks) is never sold.
No Advertising
Chainbreaker contains no advertising of any kind — no rewarded, banner, or interstitial ads — and includes no advertising SDK.
What We Do NOT Collect
- We do not collect, upload, or store your game progress or saves on any server (the leaderboard scores described above are the only gameplay data sent).
- We do not require an account, email address, phone number, name, or login.
- We do not collect location data or your contacts.
- We do not use the advertising identifier (IDFA) or cross-app tracking, and we do not show ads.
- We do not use third-party analytics or crash-reporting SDKs in the App that send your usage or personal data to us.
- We do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone. There is nothing for us to sell — your data stays on your phone.
Data Retention & Deletion
- Clear or delete in-app: Clear the App's data from within the App or your device settings at any time.
- Uninstall: Deleting the App from your device permanently removes all of its locally stored data. Because there is no server, there is no server-side copy to delete and no account to close.
- Purchase records: Purchase records held by Apple, Google, or RevenueCat are retained under their respective policies. You can restore purchases at any time from a clean install.
Security
Your data stays within the App's private storage on your device, protected by your device's operating system. Communication with the App Store, Google Play, RevenueCat, and our Supabase service uses encrypted (TLS) connections. No system can guarantee absolute security, but keeping your data on-device means there is no central database of your game data to breach.
Invite a Friend (Optional)
Chainbreaker includes an optional invite feature: if a friend enters your invite code, you both receive $5 in promo credits, spendable inside the game on the Court chain skins — or, with two invites, the Full Circuit. Promo credits are not cash, cannot be withdrawn or transferred, and are tied to the installation they were earned on. The feature is entirely optional, and the rest of the game never needs a connection.
When — and only when — you open the invite screen, enter a code, or spend credits, the App sends the following to our invite service (hosted on Supabase) so the credits can be recorded and, when you spend them, the item can be granted through RevenueCat:
- A random installation identifier generated on your device the first time the invite screen is used. It is a random value, not a device or advertising ID, and it is not derived from your device or from you.
- The anonymous RevenueCat identifier already used for purchases (see above), so an item you claim with credits can be granted to this installation.
- The six-character invite code being created or redeemed, and the identifier of the item you choose to claim.
That is the entire payload. It does not include your game progress or any of your game data. We do not learn your name, email address, contacts, or location, and there is still no account and no login. Records of invite codes, redemptions, credit balances, and claims are kept only to grant the reward, to prevent abuse, and as an audit trail; email us and we will delete yours.
Children's Privacy
Chainbreaker is a teen-rated action game intended for a general teen and adult audience, and is not directed to children under 13. It does not request that children provide information to us. Because everything is local and there is no server, we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone. If you believe information somehow reached us, contact us using the details below and we will help.
Your Rights
Privacy laws such as the GDPR (EU/EEA/UK) and CCPA/CPRA (California) give you rights to access, correct, delete, and port your personal data, and to opt out of its sale. Chainbreaker keeps no account or profile on our servers; the only records we hold are the leaderboard entries and invite records described above, which are tied to random identifiers rather than to your contact details, and we sell nothing. You can control your in-app data using the options above. For any data held by Apple, Google, or RevenueCat, contact those providers or reach us using the details below and we will help.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as the App evolves. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Effective date" above and, where appropriate, through an in-app notice. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
